Implementation of Performance Management Framework is in its development stages in the country. The need to develop capacity of the coordinating agency in terms of technical know-how on the system is therefore quite critical. This would help for smooth implementation of the performance management system as well as understanding of the MDAs involved in the process. It is important to fully capacitate the Performance Enforcement Department to manage and pass on the knowledge to the various respective MDAs.

Therefore, for a well-coordinated and smooth running performance management systems, there is need for increased capacity on both human resources and institutional. This is expected to reflect in the improved performance of the public sector and achievement of the national development agenda and the nation’s aspirations.
